I am an abstract artist living in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. I have been in Vermont for 22 years but still retain some of my New York connections. I exhibit regionally, nationally and internationally. I am represented by SOHO20 in New York and the Front Gallery in VT. My work is in numerous public and private collections listed on my resume.
I consider myself a mark-maker. My works consist of repeated marks (lines, words, symbols, dots) applied to create a pattern. I work towards making a rhythmic modulating surface.
I grew up in a very small town along the Hudson River . For me it was a beaucolic exsistance. I was an only child; there were no other children nearby. My companions were a dog and a cat. My parents worked in NYC and I had lots of alone time.
I had art lessons at an early age and all through Middle school and High School. I attended the University of New Mexico and NYU. I studied at the Arts Student League and worked at the Printmaking Workshop both in NYC. I have traveled extensively which has been a great influence in my life. I am inspired by the natural beauty around me and by music.
I moved from New York City to Nantucket Island in 1985 and then on to Vermont in 2000 where I have lived since.
